- BY THE NUMBERS: the Meinl Pickup Snarecraft Cajon measures 11 3/4" W x 19" H x 11 3/4" D and weighs 9 lbs; its full size has enough volume for any room, and it's made to last with a solid frame that supports adults and children.
- FACTORY INSTALLED PICKUPS: comes with three internal Piezo pickups that let you control volume and tone through a PA system or amplifier; turn up your sound in any venue and dial-in your tone.
- OF NOTE: the pickups don't require batteries to work; just plug into an amp or PA with a quarter-inch cable, adjust the dials, and start playing (cable not included).

- HOW IT WORKS: the cajon is equipped with two sets of fixed coiled steel snare wires for a crisp sound; two pickups are placed on the snare zones and the other on the bass area to produce the most natural tone (you can play it without using the pickups).
- WHY IT MATTERS: cajons aren't naturally loud, so if you play with larger combos or in bigger venues, you'll need a volume boost to be heard; these pickups lift the ceiling of normal cajon applications so you can cut through the mix.
- ZOOM IN: there are two dials and two quarter-inch jacks; VOLUME: set your levels, TONE: adjust for more bass or snare, OUTPUT: send your signal to an amp or PA, LINK: join other Meinl Percussion passive pickup instruments through the cajon's system.
When extra amplification is needed, dial-up your cajon volume and mix your tone with the Meinl pickup cajons. Available from the Snarecraft and Woodcraft Professional lines, these cajons are equipped with passive Piezo pickups for both snare and bass tone. Each cajon comes with a volume and tone knob so you can find your perfect mix. A quarter-inch cable jack allows you to send your signal through any amp or PA system (cables not included). Additionally, this cajon is equipped with a quarter-inch “link” jack where you can link other Meinl passive pickup instruments through this cajon's system and control their output with the cajon's dials.
This eliminates the need for additional amps or outputs to minimize your setup. Ideal for any plugged-in outdoor show, large venue or intimate acoustic coffee house set, the Meinl Pickup Cajon is extraordinarily versatile for any setting. Constructed in Europe with a Baltic birch wood frontplate and black Baltic birch body that produces a punchy, warm sound with depth and sensitivity. Internal fixed sets of snare wires (the same type found on snare drums) are fitted against the playing surface to produce a snare effect that complements the cajon’s natural bass notes. Great for finger rolls, deep back beats or brush patterns.
