- Fits standard twin size mattress; we recommend a 5-inch mattress and not to exceed 8-inch-thick mattress when used with guard rail. Plywood slats included, no box spring or bunkie board required.

Solid, knot free, New Zealand pine wood construction, sturdy high 400-pound weight capacity per sleeping surface, with strong plywood slats. Two Guard Rails is 13.25 inches tall and can be added to the bedside rail. For safety, when using the bed with the guard rail, we recommend a 5-inch mattress. Please do not exceed a mattress higher than 8 inches thick to preserve the integrity of the guard rail.
The guard rail can be removed or moved into different position as your child grows. Please note that while add on guard rails can help restrict access and give an extra sense of protection, they do not prevent all accidents or injury.
