The Jacobite shirt takes its name and style from the Jacobites, the Highlanders who were perhaps most famous for being supporters of Bonnie Prince Charlie. It's a loose fitting, comfortable shirt which is worn casually, usually with a kilt, but sometimes with jeans or casual trousers. The simplicity of the lace fastening is reminiscent of times past when technology wasn't available to make buttonholes by machine.
